Timati is a scenic name of Timur Junusov. He was born on August 15, 1983 in Moscow. In his child-hood Timur spent some years in Los Angeles, and fell in love with R&B and HIP HOP culture. Today Timati is one of the leading R&B musicians in Russia. 

Timati became known in 2004 after the project “Star Factory - 4” on 1st Channel. Before that he played in VIP77. Timati created “Gang” from participants of “Star Factory - 4” - Domenic Joker, Ratmir Shishkov and Anastasia Kochetkova. The compositions created by “Gang”: “Heavens Crying” and “New People” took the top positions in musical charts. In 2006 the duet of Timati and Alexa “When You Are Besides” became an absolute hit. 

In 2006 Timati released the first solo album named “Black Star by Timati”. Today Timati is the main newsmaker of the Russian R&B and HIP HOP stages, one of the most demanded musicians whose shows are an invariable success. 

Timati is a singer, musician and businessman. In 2006 Timati organized producer center “Black Star inc. by Timati”. The center is involved in producing and promotion of various musicians and also promotion in night clubs. Besides, the center is engaged in creation of clothes line - collection “Black Star by TIMATI” focused on R&B and HIP HOP youth.

Timati is also a movie actor. His cinema works include:

1) Film “Male Season. Velvet revolution” 

Director: O. Stepchenko, 2005. Cinema debut - Timati plays himself. 

2) Film “Heat” 

Director: R. Giginishvili, 2006. Timati plays one of four school friends, a rap-musician named Timati. 

Timati is the only Russian rap musician who records joint tracks with the leading American rappers: Xzibit, Mario Winans, Fat Joe, NOX, Jimmi Sissoko (France). Two tracks were produced for Timati by Scott Storch, the most known in the world hip hop producer. In 2009 Timati stepped into a new top level and recorded a new single with American hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg. A new video was filmed in Los Angeles in Spring 2009 and is scheduled to appear on most music TV channels across the world in April 2009. The new album "The Boss" is out in May 2009.
